Lease and release by Thomas Hopkinson, Humphrey Oldfield, William Revell and James Hauxley of Stretton yeoman to Richard Hawksley of Woolley in the parish of North Wingfield yeoman of one third-part of a messuage, the Croft, the Wheat Close, the Lime Kiln Hill, the Banke or Bauke and Hatchett Bitt, the three Crawcrofts, the Well Croft, the two Pastures, and the dole (containing in all 35 acres) lying at Handley and Woolley in the manor of Stretton; and one third-part of another messuage, Kiln Croft, Barn Croft, Stable Croft, Middle Piece, Pease Close, Craw Croft, Hilly Close, the Backside Close, the Long Lands, the Pasture Sick and the Over Close (containing in all 30 acres). Consideration £207 6s 7d, part of the purchase price of the estate of the duke of Shrewsbury. Dated 19/20 February
