TitleBovegate, Stretton:
Settlement upon the marriage of John Gregory of Stretton butcher, son of Martha Gregory of Stretton widow, and Rose daughter of Robert Allen of Lea yeoman, whereby Martha conveys to John all her part of one messuage with appurtenances in Stretton in consideration of £30 paid by John to John Northedge of Shirland yeoman as a portion for Elizabeth his wife (sister of John), £20 paid to William Gregory (brother of John), £30 paid to John Marples of Risley as a portion for Martha his wife (sister of John), and £20 paid to Samuel Gregory (brother of John), and in consideration of John maintaining Martha or, if she decides to live apart from John, of an annuity of £5.
