Mortgage by lease and release by Thomas Towndrow late of Higham and now of South Wingfield yeoman, Joshua Jebb of Walton Lodge esq., Rev. George Bossley of Chesterfield, and Wotton Byrchinshaw Thomas of Chesterfield gent. to George Gosling of Chesterfield gent., and John Machon of Newton in the parish of Blackwell gent., reciting terms of D37 M/T541-542, D37 M/T543-44, of the Upper and Nether Closes by the Lane, the Tang Close, and the Upper Close above Tang (formerly one close called the Ox Close) lying in Brackenfield. Consideration £1000 paid by Gosling and Machon to Jebb, Bossley, and Thomas, and £39 paid by Towndrow to Jebb and Co., in discharge of mortgage principal and interest. Dated 10/11 August
