Tang Close, Upper and Nether Closes, Brackenfield:
Assignment of several mortgages as in D37 M/T529, D37 M/T530, D37 M/T534, and D37 M/T532-33, and mortgage by demise of 23 May 1800 by Thomas Towndrow to John Carr of Wetton (co. Stafford) farmer of the Hopthorn and the Oaks in Brackenfield with covenant to surrender copyhold premises in Higham in consideration of £200, by Thomas Finney of Harley in the parish of Hartington., John Carr of Wetton farmer, John Wilson of South Normanton farmer, and Joseph Wilson of Alfreton gent. to John Lowe of Lea in the parish of Ashover yeoman, of lands in Brackenfield, and copyhold lands and messuage in Higham, in consideration of £300 paid by Lowe to Finney; £200 paid to Carr; £200 paid to Wilson; £88 paid to Joseph Wilson, and a further advance of £212 paid to Towndrow, making a mortgage principal of £1000.
