Copy will of Richard Cowlishaw late of Ashley (co. Northampton) and now of Barrow-upon-Trent gent. To sister-in-law Barbara Cowlishaw for life, real estate at Ashley, and then to nephew George Cowlishaw in fee; to Barbara, all household goods; to nephew George, lands in Ashley; to Barbara, an annuity of £20 for life issuing out of lands at Woolley in the parish of Morton; if Barbara dies before her sister Dorothy Clay, then Dorothy is to receive an annuity of £10 for life issuing out of the same lands; to nephew Charles Cowlishaw, all lands at Woolley; to nephew Richard Cowlishaw, lands in Ashover; to nephew George Cowlishaw, messuages in Ashover; to Rev. Richard Dodsley of Willington and Thomas Sale of Derby woollen draper, lands in Derby, Litchurch, Brackenfield, and Dronfield upon trust to sell the same and to pay funeral expenses and debts, then to pay £400 to nephew Joseph Cowlishaw, and residue of any monies to sister-in-law Barbara. Trustees to be executors. Dated 25 March
