DescriptionLease and release by Robert Askew and George Johnson [now of Somercotes], devisees in trust of the will of George Milnes, Phoebe Milnes of Brackenfield, widow of George, George Milnes of Brackenfield framesmith, William Milnes of Brackenfield framework-knitter, the said George Johnson and Mary Johnson his wife, William Saunders of Brackenfield, cordwainer and Elizabeth his wife, the said Robert Askew and Sarah his wife, Diocletian Milnes of Brackenfield framework-knitter, George Hodgkinson of Brackenfield labourer and Ann his wife, Richard Goodwin of Wessington and Frances his wife, and Thomas Milnes, servant of William Adlington of Kings Mill near Mansfield (George, William, Mary, Elizabeth, Sarah, Diocletian, Ann, Frances, and Thomas being children of George Milnes deceased) to Charles Clayton of Pilsley in the parish of North Wingfield farmer, reciting lease and release of 6/7 April 1829 to George Milnes deceased of premises mentioned below by trustees of Isaac Bown Twigg deceased for £762 10s (of which £600 has been paid), and also reciting terms of D37 M/T187, 191-192, of two closes in Brackenfield called Spatemans Meadow and the Royal containing together 11 acres, a messuage in Brackenfield and outbuildings, a close of land called Bunting Close (one acre two roods 9½ perches), the Pasture Close (4 acres).
