Title
Holland family records
Description
The Holland family lived at Ford in North Wingfield in the 18th and 19th centuries, until the death of Mrs Holland in 1847 when the Turbutts purchased the property. These documents may have been acquired at the time of the purchase. The records show, however, that there was a family connection, as Mary and Elizabeth Burrow married respectively John Holland and William Turbutt in the late 18th century. See D37 M/T577-765 for deeds of Holland estate at Ford 1436-1849, purchased by Gladwin Turbutt in 1848, and for Holland family wills and settlements.
