Administrative History	Eckington United Methodist Free Church opened in 1876. In 1932 the Wesleyan United and Primitive Methodist Churches amalgamated to form the Methodist Church. It became Trinity Methodist Church, Eckington, in 1947 and High Street Methodist Church, Eckington in 1970. Circuit history Sheffield (Surrey Street) Methodist Circuit (fl 1940)
Custodial History	The original deposit for this church was received by Derbyshire Record Office in October 1992, the papers having been found amongst the personal papers of William Widdison (1832-1882), a butcher in Eckington who was a Trustee of the Church. Further records were deposited by the archivist of the Sheffield District of the Methodist Church in November 2024.
