Administrative History
Formerly the Matlock and High Peak valuation districts. Originally there were four valuation offices covering Derbyshire: Chesterfield, Derby, High Peak and Matlock. The High Peak area at one time also covered parts of Cheshire, but by 1979 this had been split up and the Derbyshire section was amalgamated with Matlock to form the West Derbyshire Area.
