Administrative HistoryThe school was opened as a Council School in 1910. Originally founded as an infant school, it catered for children aged up to 11 years from about 1936. Following a 2024 academy conversion agreement (see DCC/LG/CX/3918) Palterton Primary School ceased to exist, being replaced by an academy.
Custodial HistoryThese records were deposited in Derbyshire Record Office in two accessions, on 06 August 1992 and 20 July 1995. Ownership passed to Derbyshire County Council when the school ceased to exist.
