Administrative History	The Websters Whittington Endowed School (Infants) opened in 1876 at Whittington Moor. Later known as Whittington Moor Infants School, it closed in 1984.
Custodial History	The records were transferred to Derbyshire Record Office by North East Derbyshire, Chesterfield and Bolsover Area Education Office in August 1984.

Archivist Note	All catalogue entries in this collection were corrected in May 2024. Although the Creator field correctly indicated that the records are from Websters Endowed School, later Whittington Moor Infants School, the titles referred to Windermere School (see D3612). The error was not made when the records were first accessioned and catalogued, but as they were added to Calm. Mark Smith, Corporate Records Manager, 21 May 2024.
