Archive CreatorParish of Normanton St Giles
Administrative HistoryNormanton was originally a chapelry in the parish of Derby St Peter. It became a separate parish early in the nineteenth century. Part were transferred to the new parishes of Derby St Chad in 1822 and Derby St Bartholomew in 1927. The mission church at Sinfin was attached to Normanton between 1935 and 1979.
Custodial HistoryThese records were deposited with Derbyshire Record Office by various parish officers in May 1992, January 2001, July 2001 and September 2014.
