DescriptionBetween (1) Sir Philip Gell of Hopton, bart. and (2) William Aspinall of Wirksworth, husbandman, of all that messuage, dwelling house and tenement and the chamber or rooms built over the Gate in Wirksworth, assigned to William Aspinall by Sir Philip Gell, brother of Francis Gell deceased and John Gell deceased, held of the Holland Manor in the township of Wirksworth, in consideration of £65 10 shillings. Philip Gell appointed Richard Lisett of Wirksworth, gentleman, and Francis Tomlinson of Hopton to be his attorneys. Dated 23 March 12 Queen Anne. Signed and sealed Philip Gell. Memorandum of possession on rear of document, signed by J. Souter and Richard Lisett, with receipt of £65 10 shillings from William Aspinall, signed Philip Gell, witnessed by Robert Toplis, John Willcokson, and Richard Lisett.
