Administrative HistoryJoseph Helling was born in Ulverston, Lancashire c1834. He retired some time between the 1901 and 1911 census. His daughter Mary Elizabeth Helling (1865-1958) who was living with him at the time of the 1901 census, was running a stationers and newsagents business from Oxford Street by the time of the 1911 census. Joseph was living on Greaves Street with his second wife, also Mary.
