Archive Reference / Library Class No.
D3578/1/1/1
Title
Register of baptisms, marriages and burials
Date
1678-1728
Description
including baptisms Jun 169[8] - Dec 1728, marriages May 169[8] - Jan 1727/8, burials Aug 1678 - Nov 1727.
The original register survives in fragments only, which have been repaired and bound. There are significant gaps in the entries. There are no bishop's trancripts to cover these gaps, because Peak Forest was an extra-parochial peculiar during this period - the earliest bishop's transcripts for Peak Forest date from 1813 (held at Lichfield Record Office).
