Photocopy of indenture of bargain and sale from Mathew Bate of Middleton, gent to John Archer, Sergeant at Law and Justice of the Court of Common Pleas at Westminster, Phillip Packer of Westminster, widow and Katherine Gell, wife of John Gell of Hopton, esq, of a 24th part of a moor called the Fifth Moor and a 24th part of a moor called Sixth Moor on Cromford Moor in the wapentake of Wirksworth, and of an equal portion of the Sough on Cromford Moor used for bringing up lead ore and mining, and all mines and minerals for ever according to the custom of the lead mines within the wapentake of Wirksworth, with covenants, 18 Mar 1658/9, in English
