Description
Most of the recipes are for wines: currant, gooseberry, ginger, cowslip, white and 'Lunell' wines. There are five other recipes: 'To Preserve Plumbs' [part of recipe cut out], 'Gravy for Ducks', 'Fish Sauce', 'A Receipt to make Mince Pyes', and 'To pickle Pork'.
The cover shows an engraving entitled 'A Monkey in the Character of a French Gardener'. The front and back covers have been used for adding up accounts.
