Title
Erlanger to P.L.G. : need to decide on a president, is going to take a more active part in this than he had hitherto planned;
although in favour of Selborne, sees that it would not be successful, nor would another outsider;
Maguire is the most senior and would take the chair if the board was unanimous;
is now sounding other directors' feelings;
if Maguire not acceptable, then Birchenough is the best man.
