Administrative HistoryThe Fairfield Youth Club, known as ‘The Venturers Club’ was established in 1961. It began meeting at St Nicholas Hall, but later moved to a purpose built building in September 1969. It was managed by a County Youth Service Youth Club Management Committee. The senior warden’s post was held by Frederick Walters. Buxton County Youth Club met at Eagle Parade in Buxton. It is believed to have been established in the 1940s. In 1955 the club closed whilst Eagle Parade was refurbished. It re-opened in 1957. The Youth Clubs were linked to the County Council.
