Surrender from James Borebank, formerly ofWest Hallam, farmer, now of Toronto in the province of Ontario in the dominion of Canada, brewery manager, to Francis Alexander Newdigate Newdegate of Arbury, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, MP, and John Else, farmer, Frank Flint, miner, William Fretwell, licensed victualler, Henry Booth, farmer and Richard Morris, farmer, all of West Hallam, of a close of land in Ilkeston known as the Hades Close or Broad Meadow Hades containing 3 acres 1 rood 33 perches in trust to use the rents and profits to put out one of the poorest of the scholars of the Free School at West Hallam as apprentice (Powtrell’s Charity?), 5 Apr 1904
