TitleDr G N Fitzmaurice
Date1834-1835
DescriptionOct 1834-Apr 1835. Fitzmaurice was an assistant surgeon, who had `suffered a recent heavy financial loss (which in case of his death would leave his family almost unprovided for).' Wishes to resign his commission, provided an appointment in the East India Company's Madras medical establishment could be obtained. Other letters to Fitzmaurice encourage this idea (with `interest')
