Description
May 1824-Sep 1829. Correspondence, some copies, between Wilmot Horton, Robert Wilmot Hay and Stephen Lushington Determination that Gonville's case be governed by that of Lecesne and Escoffery. It became necessary to furnish Sir George Murray (new Secretary of State 1828) with information as to why Wilmot Horton (as under secretary of state) sanctioned this arrangement on the ground that there was no difference between the cases - Lecesne and Escoffery had been removed from Jamaica as aliens
