Discusses implications of any imbalance between supply of and demand for labour. Considers issues related to currency, profits and corn prices. Poses questions that might be instructive to be explored about the well being of individuals after emigration. With marginal notes by Robert Torrens.

- “Financial Arrangement with Respect to an Emigration of One Thousand Persons, equally practicable in the case of One Million”, by Robert Wilmot Horton, 3 Mar 1827 (2 pages)

Author not given. The text refers to a recent Corn Law enactment. There is an extensive quotation from a document of 1826 arguing that unemployed men would gain little advantage from The text of one copy bears handwritten additions and alterations on every page; the second copy is unmarked apart from a single line through the text referring to Mr Malthus.
