TitleEusebius Buswell's marriage settlement on his marriage to Honour Sneyd, following the death of his first wife Hesther Sneyd [see D3155/WH 472-473] Honour's sister, between Eusebius Buswell of Cadeby, Esq, Eusebius Buswell his son and heir, Dame Frances Skrymsher widow of Sir Charles Skrymsher, Honour Sneyd her only daughter, Ralph Sneyd son and heir of Dame Frances Skrymsher, and Edward Sneyd, gent, younger son of Dame Frances Skrymsher by which in consideration of the marriage and £500, the Buswells shall convey to Robert Piggott of Chetwyn Esq, and John Sneyd of Keele, Esq, all and singular the manors, messuages, lands, tenements etc, in Northants, Leics and Staffs which were settled by the settlement on the marriage of Eusebius Buswell the younger to Hesther his late wife 13 November 2 Anne: the messuages etc in Northants and Staffs limited to the use of Eusebius Buswell the younger, to the use of Piggott and Sneyd for the life of Eusebius Buswell the younger, then to their use to preserve the contingent uses: all the messuages etc in Staffs to the use of Honour Sneyd for her life as jointure: remainder of the property - apart from that limited to the use of Eusebius Buswell the elder - to the use of trustees immediately after the decease of Eusebius Buswell the younger so that Honour Sneyd may receive £400 per annum from the rents and profits in full satisfaction of dower, then after the death of Honour Sneyd and annuities paid to the use of John Wrottesley of Wrottesley, Staffs and Samuel Bracebridge of Linley, Warwicks, and Ralph Sneyd of Byshton, Staffs, and Christopher Roe of Normanton Eurvile, Leics, for 500 years in trust for the children of the marriage successively in tail male - several other provisos.
