Title
Deed to levy a fine between Robert Hawford of Clipston, husbandman, Henry Mott of Clipston, weaver, France Jerman of Clipston labourer, and Richard Wawple of Clipston, labourer, by which it is agreed that Hawford at the costs and charges of Mott, Jerman and Wawple shall levy a fine to them of 3 cottages, 1 acre, 1 rood of land at Clipston to uses viz
(a) One cottage lately erected and 3 roods of ground in Clipston near Bancrofte with yard or backside to the use of Henry Mott
(b) One cottage in Clipston lately erected at the Nether End of Bancrofte with yard and backside to use of Jerman
(c) one cottage in Clipston lately erected in the Over End of Bancrofte with yard or backside to use of Robert Wawple
- all or part of a tenement late Roger Hawford's. Dated 17 July 8 James I [1610]
