TitleCopy family settlement: between Sir George Buswell of Clipston, bart, Sir Euseby Pelsant of Liddington, Rutland kt, Harold Kinsman of Braughton, Northants, Esq, and George Collope of the Strand, Middlesex, Esq, by which in consideration of the natural love and affection which Sir George Buswell has for Dame Katherine his wife, Euseby Pelsant son and heir apparent of Sir Euseby Pelsant and Elizabeth, Anne and Margaret Pelsant daughters of Sir Euseby by Anne his late wife eldest sister of Sir George Buswell and to George Stafford second son of William Stafford, gent, dec'd by Frances his wife youngest sister of Sir George Buswell and now wife of William Cox gent, and John, Edward and William Stafford her others sons, and for settling the manors, lands, tenements and hereditaments in the blood of Sir George Buswell; Buswell covenants that Pelsant, Kinsman and Collope shall be seised of and in the manor of Clipston and Nobold and all messuages etc belonging, and messuages etc in Kibworth Harcourt, Smeeton Westerby, Market Harborough and Husbands Bosworth, Leics, and all his messuages, farms etc in Guildsborow, Nortofte and Marston Trussell, Northants, and in all those messuages etc in Kelmarsh, Oxenden Magna, Braybrook, Brixworth and East Farndon and in all those messuages etc within Cleydon, Oxon, and Church Bicknell, Warwicks, to various uses
(a) Manor of Clipstone and Newbold and all messuages, closes etc (except for the Bridge Close 2a in the tenure of John Halford), to the use of Sir George Buswell for life, then to the use of Dame Katherine for life according to a former settlement of the same, then to the use of the heirs of Sir George Buswell, in default to the use of Euseby Pelsant for life and from his decease to the use of his successive male issue, in default to the use of George Stafford for life, then to the use of his successive male issue, then in default to the use of John Stafford and his successive male issue, in default to the use of Edward Stafford and his successive male issue, in default to the use of William Stafford and his successive male issue: in default to the use of the right heirs of Sir George Buswell
(b) Close called Bridge Close, to the use of Sir George Buswell for life, then to the use of Dame Katherine for life, then to the use of the right heirs of George Buswell
(c) Messuages etc in Kibworth Harcourt, Smeeton Westerby., Husbands Bosworth and Marker Harborough, to the use of Sir George Buswell and his heirs, in default to the use of Frances Cox for life, from her decease to the use of Dame Katherine until Euseby Pelsant shall reach the age of 21 (or death of Dame Katherine, whichever shall happen first), then to the use of the Trustees for 99 years, then to the use of Euseby Pelsant for life and his successive male issue, then to the use of George, John, Edward and William Stafford and their successive male issue, and in default of issue to the use of the right heirs of Sir George Buswell
(d) Messuages etc in Guildsborow, Nortofte, Marston Trussell, Kelmarsh, Brixworth, Oxenden Magna, Braybrook and East Farndon, to the use of Sir George Buswell and the heirs of his body, in default to the use of Dame Katherine until Euseby Pelsant shall attain the age of 21, then to the use of the Trustees for 99 years, then to the use of Euseby Pelsant for life and from his decease to the use of his successive male issue, in default to the use of the Staffords and their successive male issue and in default of issue to the use of the right heirs of Sir George Buswell
(e) Messuages etc in Cleydon and Church Bicknell, to the use of Sir George Buswell for life, then to the use of Dame Katherine for life and from her decease to the use of George Stafford
