Description
This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
[Unnamed house and grounds 18c.]. Scale: no scale shown. Size: 30 x 37 cm. Materials: ink on paper. Centred on: SK362332. Notes: no orientation. Sketch plan of mansion house shown in elevation, with ornamental grounds, trees in avenue, ornamental gates, church and houses along village street: from Craven and Stanley 'Lost Houses of Derbyshire' it is possible to identify this with Osmaston Hall, Derby, built c. 1700: the gates are by Robert Bakewell (1682-1752).
