Title
Audley. View of frankpledge and great court of Henry Tuchet, lord of Audley, 8 October 2 Elizabeth [1560], before William Sneide, steward. Jury verdict - to this court comes Elizabeth Brike, widow, and seeks to inherit a third part as her dower in three pastures called Mantilles and Zyye crofts and houses in Talke, in which Thomas Birke late husband of said Elizabeth died seised: jury states that Thomas Birke was not seised when he died in the Mantilles and Zyye Croft, and that the said Elizabeth should not inherit a third part as dower and further the jury states that the said Thomas Birke died seised of messuage and a cottage in Talke of which said Elizabeth ought to inherit a third part as dower
