TitleCopy deed of partition between Christopher Brumynge of Clipston, yeoman, and Constance his wife, John Campion of Clipstone, yeoman, and Prudence his wife, John Gulston of Clipston, yeoman, and Elizabeth his wife and Edward Wade of Clipston, yeoman, and John Wade of Kalmarsh, yeoman, by which Brumynge, Gulston and Campion and wives have agreed to levy to the Wades before the feast of St Andrew, of one messuage or farmhouse in Clipston and Newbold where they (Brumynge etc) inhabit and arable, meadow and pasture land in the fields of Clipston called Tow Yarde Lande and A Halfe or known by the name of Newbolde Lande, also all tofts, crofts, buildings etc belonging and one little croft or close in Traceloves Yard, and all that other arable, meadow and pasture ground in Clipston and Newbold known as one yarde land commonly called Traceloves Land, which was the inheritance of Sir Thomas Tresame, knight, and a moiety of a close or pasture called the Middell Close in Clipston or Newbold, and a quarter part of a close called Inlande and of a way called Inlande Lane; to following uses:-
a) A fourth part of the messuage - the east end, about 4 bays - half of Thomas Yard, half of close of pasture called Newbolde - the west end, half of meadow close called Inlande, passage down Inlande Lane, a quarter part and half a quarter part of three doles in Beddowe Meadow, third part of a dole called Elboe Dole, one dole of meadow abutting a furlong called Stainhill and arable lands in the Lowe, Stockden and Mawselowe Fields of Clipston (recited in detail); to the use of Christopher Bruminge and Constance his wife
b) A moiety of the messuage - the south end, about 6 bays - a croft adjoining on the south side, fourth part of a close of pasture in Newbold and Clipston, half part of a meadow close called Inland, passage over Inlande Lane, fourth part and half a fourth part of 3 doles of meadow in Beddowe Meadow, a third part of Elboe Dole, one dole in Beddowe Meadow, and arable land in the three fields (described in detail); to the use of John Campion and Prudence his wife
c) A fourth part of the messuage - the middle part, 4 bays - two "cullices" and one little croft, a fourth part of the close of pasture called Newbolde (east end), fourth part of three doles of meadow in Beddowe Meadow, a third part of Elboe Dole, and arable in three fields (described in detail): to use of John Gulston and Elizabeth his wife.
