Title
Gift by Reynolde Somner of Huberdes Hall in the parish of Harlowe, Essex, and Katherine his wife, to Christopher Brunynge and John Campion, in consideration of £92, of all their parts or proportions of a messuage in Clipston situated between the lands and tenement of Edward Wade and Matthew Hawforde and 2 yard lands in the fields of Clipston and Newbold, commonly called Newbold Lande, and a little close on the east side of the messuage called Thornes Yard, and another yardland in the fields of Clipston called Tracelonde and a moiety of a pasture of close called Myddel Close and a fourth part of a pasture or close called Inlande adjoining a furlong called Whadborough and a way in Clipston leading from the close called Inlandes to a lane called Inlande Lane - 410 ft in length and 21 ft in breadth [all estates of the late Roger Wade, who left four daughers, Katherine wife of Reynolde Somner, Constance wife of Christopher Brunynge, Prudence wife of John Campion and Elizabeth wife of John Gulson]. Dated 3 March 39 Elizabeth [1597]
