Borough of Glossop Magistrates Court
Administrative History
The Borough of Glossop was established in December 1866. Until at least 1855 Glossop was within the jurisdiction of the High Peak magistrates. Glossop Borough's area of jurisdiction included Dinting, Hadfield, Padfield, Simmondley and Whitfield.
Custodial History
Transferred to Derbyshire Record Office under Section 4(1) of the Public Records Act in 1987
