Nephew Francis Hunt was appointed sole executor and residuary legatee
Many legacies and annuities were devised to members of Sitwell's family, to friends and servants, including one legacy of £10,000 to his cousin Sam Phipps esq of Lincoln's Inn, several of £1,000 or £500, as well as legacies of smaller sums. Sitwell also bequeathed a share in the 'Daily Advertiser' and a house at Turnfort [?Turnford, co Hertford] bought of the New River Co
Bequests of £1,000 each were made to St Bartholomew's Hospital, Christ's Hospital, the President and Governors for the relief of sick and hurt seamen in the merchant services and the governors of managers for the education of the poor orphans or the clergy and £500 to Bridewell and Bethlem
