The award included allotments to the vicar of Great Longstone in respect of unenclosed lands and right of common, part of the glebe; to the vicars of Hope and Bakewell in lieu of vicarial or small tithes including agistment tithes; to the Duke of Devonshire as Lord of the Manors of Ashford and Edensor in which wastes, commons and other uninclosed lands lay, of one eighteenth of the residue of the wastes etc, in lieu of his right to them and for his consent to the enclosure; to named trustees, of land in Great and Little Longstone with £10 annually for the benefit of a schoolmaster or other charitable purpose in Great and Little Longstone. There were 1,742 acres of common and waste grounds. Dated 23 Dec 1824, enrolled with the Clerk of the Peace, 13 Sep 1825. Map annexed, including inset map showing hamlets.
