Administrative History | The NDWB was formed in October 1963, comprising the former Chesterfield, Bolsover and Clowne Water Board and North East Derbyshire Joint Water Committee, together with the water undertakings of Buxton Borough, Chapel-en-le-Frith Rural District Council, Bakewell RDC, Bakewell Urban District Council and Clay Cross UDC. The Board consisted of 32 members who were representatives of the 13 constituent authorities within the area of supply. Its powers were regulated by the Water Act 1945 and the North Derbyshire Water Board Act 1962. |
