Administrative History
Belle Vue Hydropathic Establishment, later Belle Vue Mansions, was located at the junction of Steep Turnpike with the Chesterfield Road in Matlock. In 1891 the hydro was occupied by Mr and Mrs Allsop. The site was formerly part of Dale Field and had been owned at various times from the 17th century by members of the Martin Hill, Wolley and Beck families.
Custodial History
These documents were given to the Record Office by a private individual in October 1986. . This list was added to the online catalogue as part of the FindersKeepers project, with the help of Elissa Rowe.
