Administrative HistoryThis circuit was formed in 1949 mainly from the Wirksworth and Winster, formerly PM, Circuit with parts of the Matlock ex-UMF and Matlock ex-WM Circuits in the Cromford and Wirksworth areas. The Circuit was renamed the Wirksworth and Cromford Circuit in 1970 without changing its composition.
