Custodial HistoryThese records were transferred to Derbyshire Record Office at various dates between 1986 and 1996. In May 2014 following an office re-organisation at the departmental headquarters, several trophies/awards were offered to the Record Office. The artefacts were outside the collecting remit of the Record Office and were disposed of. Additional accessions were received in December 2016 and December 2019.
AppraisalNote: many of the files relating to minutes and reports of the committee are duplicates. The minutes of the committee should already be held under D919/C/1/57 (1965-1974), and the pre-1965 minutes presumably with the Education Committee minutes. It is possible that the District Library Committee minutes are held under D919 as well, and at least some of these committees have separate folders within D2980 also (see proposed arrangement of the records in EDRM). It is likely that only the reports need to be extracted and kept, and will hopefully free up much space - Becky Sheldon, 12 Mar 2018
