The will refers to the following persons (to most of whom legacies, often substantial, are left): brother-in-law Gilbert Thacker of Repton esq; mother Mrs May Clissold; ‘cousin’ Mary Thacker, daughter of Gilbert; Mrs Elizabeth Ammonett; Sir Francis Windebanck, bart; Samuel How of Sermon Lane, gent; cousin Susannah Walkate who lives with Dorcas; cousin Paul Hood; cousin Margaret Ray, wife of Richard Ray of Haughley, co Suffolk, clerk; Dorothy Ray of Haughley, co Suffolk, clerk; Dorothy Ray daughter of Margaret and Richard; John Grainger esq of the Tellers Office in the Exchequer
Includes reference to a mortgage on which interest is payable to Dorcas as executor and residuary legatee of her husband
The will sets up a trust for the benefit of poor women
