Stanton by Dale Friendly Society: Printed Articles to be observed by the Friendly Sick Society held in the club-room in "Stanton Juxta Dale" begun 29 May, 1785 and instituted for the support of such as are sick or lame or are, by age or infirmities rendered unable to support themselves

Description
Printed by Samuel Bennett, Long Row, Nottingham. On the fly-leaf is written "Ebon Barber entered this Society" May 21st 1836. The book begins with an address to the present and future members and follows with detailed articles on the conduct of the Society. On page 22 the articles are said to have been amended at a meeting of the stewards and elders on 10 Aug 1819 and further amended in a full attendance of the president, stewards and elders (named) on 11 Mar 1831. In both cases, the examination and approval by a magistrate is recorded. At the back is an index to contents.
