Comprising paper pages bound in a fragment of parchment deed. As well as court roll entries for Snelston the volume includes copy letters, memoranda and examples of signatures. The cover is inscribed 'Snelston Court Book'. The pagination is modern

Writer lived in house in Makeney until unable to pay rent; then lived in 'poor house' of widow Shipston now dead, therefore evicted. Writer's son sick for a long time; writer ill all winter of 'third day ague' and forced to sell her belongings to Mr Woodhouse of Makeney; therefore seeks assistance
