Recites the original trust of 10 Mar 1718 by Elizabeth Grey of Risley, sole daughter and heir of the late Hon Anchitell Grey, esq of Risley by his late wife Ann, who was one of the daughters and co-heirs of Sir Henry Willoughby, baronet, of Risley, who created the following trustees of the school charity: John White, gentleman, Henry Charlton, junior, yeoman and William Smedley, yeoman, all of Risley, Charles Jerom, yeoman, and Edward Gregory, husbandman, both of Breaston, William Blunstone and John Sampson, husbandman, both of Sandiacre, Middlemore Pilkington, esq, Middlemore Pilkington, junior, both of Stanton, William Wright and Thomas Porter, husbandmen, both of Sale Abbey, Edmund Thompson, Thomas Jewet and John Bentley, husbandmen, all of Draycott, Francis Collier, preaching minister of Wilden, Stephen Grorguet, clerk, minister of Sandiacre, and Humphrey Courtman, clerk, minister of Stanton. --- The property conveyed to provide income for the trust is as follows: the newly erected school house in Risley and cottage with croft adjoining; a moiety of two closes called Mow Close in Dale Abbey (30a); a moiety of Sandwell Close in Wilsthorpe (2a); Sandborrow Close in Breaston (6a); an adjoining close called Sandborrow (3a); 9a 3r 17p of meadow and arable in Ockbrook called Ockbrook Grange Lands (details given); freehold property in Idridgehay, namely the Town Head House; Hillock Meadow or Walsons Hillocks; Dock Close; Cow Close; Little Pingle; Wardlow Croft; Hencroft; Neather Meadow and the adjoining close butting northward; the close to the east; the Orchard and the Hillocks, all comprising 15a; also a messuage and 3 closes called Hitchock's farm (12a) and the Fall (2a) in Idridgehay; The terms of the trust are recited: Children from Risley, Breaston, Sandiacre, Dale Abbey, Stanton by Dale, Wilsthorpe, Draycott, Little Wilden and Hopwell may be taught at the school by the headmaster who teaches grammar and the classics and the usher or undermaster who teaches reading, writing and arithmetic, and catechism ---
