Administrative History
The firm of solicitors which became Lymn and Cotman was founded by Frederick Charles Lymn (1854-1930) who practised first in Matlock Bath and later in Matlock. As well as undertaking work for private clients F C Lymn held a number of local government positions: he was appointed clerk of the Matlock Bath Local Board in 1890 and subsequently acted as clerk to Matlock Bath District Council.
Custodial History
These records were deposited at Derbyshire Record Office by a firm of solicitors in 1983 and 1986. Boxlisted by volunteer Roger Jennens.
