DescriptionRecital of agreement dated 20 May 1728 between (1) John Bowdon, on behalf of of himself and his eldest son, John Bowdon junior, an infant and devisee of real estate of John Alleyne late of Wheston, gentleman, deceased, and (2) Robert Freeman of Grays Inn, Middlesex, gentleman, on behalf of himself and his mother the said Agnes Freeman and her sister Anne Alleyne of Wheston, spinster (Agnes and Anne being the heirs of the said John Alleyne), including commitment by John Bowdon senior to acknowledge a judgement on or before 28 December next in a Court of Record against him in the penal sum of £1600 but subject to a defeasance (making it null and void) if John Bowdon junior reached the age of 21 within 6 months; followed by recital that such a judgment had been made at the court of KIng's Bench in Easter last past.
