Title
Lease book containing abstracts of leases made by the master, schoolmaster, ushers, poor men and poor scholars (1823-1841) and briefer notes of leases probably made by the same persons (1832-1862). Indexed by lessee at beginning. On the first page is a memorandum giving the Corporation rent days and a list of places [probably where the Corporation held land]. Near the back is a list of names and rents, 1859. See also D6406, D3377

Sir John Port died in 1557 and endowed alms houses, Etwall Hospital, and a Grammar School, Repton School.
