The first few pages are damaged and incomplete and the page for entries Sep 1708-Mar 1710 is missing. There is a printed copy of the Act of Burial in Woollen, 1678 at the front of the register.
The register appears to have been kept, at least from 1707, by the parish clerk, Michael Barker who signed his name at the end of the register. Although the register PI 1/1 appears to be a copy of this register, there are discrepancies between the two registers, and both registers should be consulted for the period 1703-1723/4. |
