Thomas Gell to his brother Sir John Gell - has been continually employed in John's affairs for 20 years and has solicited all his causes - prevented John being sent for by messenger when Mollanus and others accused him of treason - prevented John being sent at hostage to the Scots etc - has not received one penny for all this - if John refuses his request, will make peace with his adversaries
