Title
Grant by Henry VIII to Ralph Gell, in consideration of £107 13s 4d, of all the manor and grange of Griffe, als. Griffe Grange, with all lands etc in Brassyngton and Workesworth, recently the property of Dale Abbey, a messuage and tenement at Workesworth (tenant John Gell), late the property of Darley Abbey, and a messuage and land at Hognaston, late the property of Rocester Abbey, subject to chief rents of 8s 9½d, 12d, and 2s 2½d respectively.
