Papers relating to a charity set up in 1631 for the maintenance of a divinity lecturer in Ashbourne

Description
Including appointments of lecturers made in 1633 and 1664, copy of appointment of new trustees in 1682 (in which reference is made to a trust deed of 1651) and correspondence and other papers in a dispute concerning the lectureship, 1689-1691/2. [The papers may have been brought together because of the dispute] The wrapping (D258/18/4/1) seems to be a reused letter possibly on another subject and referring to a Mr Henry Aldridge and a living at Darley, 1691
