Title
Agreement between Jedediah Strutt of Belper esquire, and John Ray, by which Strutt agrees to sell to Ray 25 acres of coal under eight closes in Horsley Woodhouse called Great Hansack, Norman Slack Field, Bacons Closes, Hill Top Close, Bottom Meadow, Old Pasture and Noons Close at a cost of £70 per acre;
additional sum of £4 per acre for surface damages;
land damaged for the purpose of sinking the pit not to exceed 1 acre;
permission to get clay for making bricks, 25 April
