Matlock Petty Sessional Division
Administrative History
Courts were held regularly in Matlock for the Matlock District of the Wirksworth Petty Sessional Division from the late nineteenth century. About 1930 the District became a Petty Sessional Division in its own right. In 1974 on the reorganisation of local government, the Division became part of the West Derbyshire Magistrates Court and in 1978 was absorbed into West Derbyshire Petty Sessional Division.

These records were deposited in the Record Office under Section 4(1) of the Public Records Act at various dates between Dec 1963 and Jul 1991
